So I watched a couple of games and as expected there were a few surprises (like Michigan and Pitt going down), but what the hell is up with the ACC? Sure, sure, they went 7-4 this week but if you look inside the wins the ACC looks kind of overrated.
WINS
Wake, GT, UMia, Terps, UNC, Duke and BC…..wins against push overs that they all should crush.
LOSSES
Virginia, VT, NC State and Clemson…..Virginia probably had no shot and VT shouldn’t have lost. Clemson and NC State at minimum should have been more competitive.
Understandably, its college sports which can be very unpredictable. For this very reason, I never put stock into preseason rankings and bullshit hype. Also, I don’t like to make a big deal out of week 1 results, but damn the ACC looked weak.
Florida State walks out of Week 1 smelling like roses though. No games, but with the chance to look at how other teams have played, we’ve got to be excited. Think about it, two powder puffs, Wake and Colorado make up the first 4 games. FSU should be could be hopefully will be 4-0 going into the game against UMia.
The ACC might suck some hairy ones this year, but as a BCS conference any team that can dominate it will be greatly rewarded. Hey, I don’t make the rules but they might benefit us, so let’s go out and rock West Bubble Fuck University!!
